Day 01

Colombo city

Colombo is the commercial and business center of Sri Lanka located on west coast. The city blends together with old colonial type building, high-rise commercial buildings and hotels. It is filled with shopping malls. Some of the finest structures built during the colonial times still preserved in one part of the City. For example, there is a 100-year-old clock tower and Cargill’s building.

Day 02

Sigiriya Rock

Sigiriya is treated as one of the most remarkable creations in the world, built by King Kashyapa (477-495 AD). Path through the gardens along Stone stairways come to the Lion Gate. Only the rock carving and the brick structure is evident today of the lion’s mouth through which millions of people have walked to admire he beauty of this magnificent citadel.

Village Tour

Enjoy an excursion that takes you through the real Sri Lankan Villages. Clients will be able to ride on a Bullock Cart, a three wheeler & have a homely cooked meal. It is very pleasant experience!! Live the life of a traditional Sri Lankan farmer, with fresh air, organic food & a truly hospitable attention of the locals.

Day 03

Polonnaruwa

Visit Polonnaruwa the second capital of Sri Lanka from 1017 to 1235 A.D. Polonnaruwa is also a UNESCO world heritage city. You will be able to see the ruins of Royal Palace king Parakramabahu and the statue of this king.The elegant Lotus pond was built in 12th century. There are also famous monument of worship such as the Gal Viharaya which has 4 magnificent carved Buddha statues and Shiva Temple

Jeep Safari

Do a jeep safari in Minneriya National park. The park covers an area of 8,889 hectares giving home to 160 species of birds ab out 25 species of reptiles, 26 fish species, 09 amphibians and more than 78 butterfly species. Any given time you will see more than few heard of elephants . During the time of Elephant gathering which is one of the most phenomenal events of nature, you can spot hundreds of elephants roaming around the gigantic Minneriya reservoir.

Day 04

Spice Garden

During the medieval periods Muslim traders dominated spice trading routes throughout the Indian Ocean. Spices had been highly valued as they were more than a flavoring for food. Ceylon cinnamon was worth its weight in gold during medial times. Guest will be able to see different spices and how some of these spices are grown and processed. Witness Cookery demonstrations as well.

Kandy City

Kandy was the last capital of Sinhala Kings. Today Kandy offers its visitors rich collection of art and craft and historical buildings. It includes a collection of ancient temples buildings and gem museums. The temple of tooth relic which houses the most sacred Buddhist relic in the world is the most important amongst all.

Day 05

Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage

It is located northwest of Kegalle town along the Colombo ~ Kandy main road. The orphanage is in a twenty five acre coconut land near Maha Oya. It is uniquely a one of its kind of a place that was built to look after the orphan elephant babies as a result of the war. Today it stands as a very successful experiment that saved the lives of hundreds of elephant & as a birth place of hundreds more.

Peradeniya Botanical Garden

The Royal Botanic Gardens is a very popular tourist attraction in Sri Lanka and it’s a paradise for nature lovers. It is located at Peradeniya about 1550 feet above from the sea level, near “Mahaweli River”. The total area of the gardens is about 147 acres. The most attractive place in the gardens is the orchid House which has more than 300 varieties of orchids.

Cultural show

An hour long experience of vivid & exotic folk dancing, drumming & plays. Sri Lanka has a vibrant history when it comes to cultural activities. You could get a glimpse of what used to be a part of entertainment & healing & evoking blessings. It is no surprise if the powerful drumming makes you feel like walking to the stage to join the performers.

Day 06

Ramboda Falls

Ramboda is a breathtaking natural beauty. There are two prominent waterfalls next to each other. Clients could take pictures & enjoy the view from a view deck. But if you are more adventurous, nothing like going right underneath & enjoying the cold breeze originated from the fall itself.

Tea Factory

Sri Lanka is world famous for Ceylon Tea. Clients will be shown a tea plantation & a factory. You will be able to witness the processing of Tea & also taste a cup of nice & hot Ceylon Tea. You can buy various different Tea varieties from the Tea factory outlet. It was three Sri Lankan Jewish brothers who introduced Tea as a commercial crop to Sri lanka.

Nuwara Eliya city

Nuwara Eliya is located at the heart of the hill country 6182 feet above from the sea level. The town is situated at 74 km away along Kandy-Nuwara Eliya road and this was rediscovered by British in 1827. It is still very much like an old English town with styled Bungalows and buildings. Today it serves as a recreational resort for thousands of holiday makers of non Sri Lankans & Sri Lankans alike.

Day 07

Train journey

Enjoy the journey from Nanu Oya to Ella which traverses through the beautiful tea plantations, water falls, scenic hill country & country side. What takes 3 to 4 hours, is the most beautiful in all of Sri Lanka. It is a world famous stretch. You could simply see the whole world around you since the train travels through the mountain tops

Tuk tuk ride to Lipton’s seat

A direct view of the paradise itself. This hilltop was used by the famous Tea Barron Lipton to do his surveying. Named after him, Lipton’s seat is one of Asia’s most overlooked destinations. What will also be a memorable experience is the Tuk Tuk ride from your parking to the peak , taking you through some of the most difficult bends & narrow passages in Sri lanka.

Day 08

Belilena Cave

The remains of prehistorical Balangoda Man who is believed to be found 32,000 years ago was discovered at this location. Homo sapiens balangodensis lived in terrains above 2000 meters. Thus Kitulgala was an ideal location give its rainy weather & the river that flows close by. The expedition is both adventurous & a complete knowledge gaining.

Camping Night

Overnight stay will be in a camping site by the River. Basic but comfortable enough with the view of the Kelani river & an imaginable natures songs throughout the time. The staff are from the area thus the experience is local & authentic.

Day 09

White Water Rafting

The Kelani River flowing through Kitulgala was the main location where the Oscar winning Blockbuster Movie Bridge on the River Kwai was filmed. The river produces rapids ranging from grade three to four depending on the rainfall. The most exciting & challenging part will be to traverse through the Killer Fall without getting your raft toppled.

Camping Night

Overnight stay will be in a camping site by the River. Basic but comfortable enough with the view of the Kelani river & an imaginable natures songs throughout the time. The staff are from the area thus the experience is local & authentic

Day 10

Beach and Blue ocean

Sri Lanka is simply blessed with the best white sandy beaches in the world. Enjoy a glimpse of the warm Indian Ocean while having a delicious sea food meal. You will fall in love with this beautiful paradise the moment you step in to the beautiful blue ocean.

Day 11

Turtle hatchery

There are five varieties of Sea Turtles found in Sri Lanka, namely Olive Ridley Turtle, Loggerhead Turtle, Green Turtle, Hawksbill Turtle and Leatherhead Turtle. All major nesting habitats are located in the Galle District. You will visit a Hatchery where the locals collect eggs for hatching & feeding the baby turtles

Boat cruise on the Maduganga River

This River is a shallow water body in south-west Sri Lanka, which enters the sea at Balapitiya. Together with the smaller Randombe Lake, to which it is connected by two narrow channels, it forms the Madu Ganga wetland. Its estuary and the many mangrove islets on it constitute a complex coastal wetland ecosystem. In has high ecological, biological and aesthetic significance, being home to 303 species of plants.

Galle Dutch Fortress

Galle was a main port of Sri Lanka from 14th century. The first fort of Galle was built by Portuguese. Walk along the walls of the fort en joy the magnificent view of the ocean and do not forget to watch the sun set which gives you an astonishing view from the walls of the Galle fort. It is considered one of the very few Living Fortresses in the world with a sizeable community who resides & live their daily life in centuries old buildings & houses

Swim with Turtles – Snorkeling

Hikkaduwa is the only declared marine sanctuary in Sri Lanka. A long stretched coral reef is within a swimmable distance. The coral reef is the home for a wide verity of fish, turtles & hundreds of shell creatures. You could explore this amazing underwater wonder for hours.
